“I believe we're all put on this planet for a purpose, and we all have a different purpose.” – Ellen DeGeneres

I met a young man who immigrated 15 years ago. This individual was responsible for cleaning an apartment complex three times per week.

I instantly noticed that he was extremely exceptional in the way that he performed his job. He was so proud and diligent about the way he cleaned as if he owned the building.

I asked him what he really did for his livelihood, as he was not your usual tool in the toolbox.

He said that he worked for a local bakery where he would begin baking at 5:00 a.m. in the morning and then report to his cleaning job by 1:00 p.m. three times a week.

“What motivates you to do this day after day?” I asked.

He replied and said, “I love it.”

He also mentioned that he sends money every week to his parents who still live in his native country.

It seemed unusual that a young man would do all of this work and still have a smile on his face and an incredibly great disposition.

A couple of days later, I visited the bakery where he worked as a pastry chef. The items on display at the bakery were a work of art and absolutely tantalizing.

His purpose was the ignition that created his burning desire to perform optimally with anything that he laid his hands upon.

My purpose is to empower, train, lead and mentor as many people as I can in this lifetime in order for them to discover what they love, love what they do, develop what they love, nurture what they love, master what they love and in turn share their discovery with as many people as they can.

What is your purpose?

Write it down and read it to yourself until it becomes your daily mantra.

Doing this magnifies your results intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially.
