“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.” – Steve Jobs

In this article, I will proudly profess my own personal Christian faith however it has always been my intention to appreciate or respect anyone else’s belief, culture or religion.

Life is fragile and it should never be taken for granted.

But we all do this to a certain extent until something monumentally tragic and unexpectedly appears.

Science will tell you to go home and die.

It’s never over until God says it’s over.

The following is a spiritual awareness prayer for anyone that desires divine intervention at a time like this.

This is not religion but rather spiritual awareness.

This is all about giving direct and specific commands to your deeper mind that has no clue of what is real or not real.

It's your journey and it’s your life.

An arrangement of You Raise Me Up is located at this link and you may use this inspiring music as the background to the prayer.

PRAYER FOR THE UNFOLDMENT OF GOD’S DIVINE PLAN IN MY MIND, BODY & SPIRIT

 SPIRITUAL AWARENESS PRAYER

“My body and all its organs were created by the infinite intelligence in my subconscious mind. It knows how to heal me. Its wisdom fashioned all my organs, tissues, muscles and bones.

This infinite healing presence within me is now transforming every single atom of my being making me absolutely whole and perfect now.

I give thanks for the healing I know is taking place now. Wonderful are the works of the creative intelligence within me.” - Dr. Joseph Murphy

Praise be to God.

I am so happy and grateful now that absolutely every single fiber of my body is already working perfectly in harmony with God’s Law.

God is the master of all that I am.

My God has already eliminated all intruding cells in all my organs.

I love my God and I can go to sleep and rise in peace knowing that he is the creator and giver of all.

Only God transcends all and delivers perfect unfoldment of his divine plan in my mind, body, and spirit.

Thank you Father God for this amazing opportunity to serve you further and greater.

I clearly understand that I am already in God’s grace and God has given me an opportunity to serve him greater and fuller as a valued disciple of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Therefore, in perfect faith and trust in my God, I declare to all intruding entities, including any invasive intruders,

“Be still. Be quiet. I am in control. You must obey me. You are subject to my command. You cannot intrude where you do not belong.” - Dr. Joseph Murphy

I rejoice that it is so.

Thank you Father God for this amazing opportunity to know your power that transcends all human things.

You are the creator of all and I take my cue only from you.

In a spirit of expectation and gratitude, I thank you for this journey.

Thank you for re-generating all my cellular structures to perfect order as it was intended from the first day of my creation.

Teach me.

Show me how I can serve you better in this lifetime. I love you and thank you for this amazing, glorious, awesome, perfect and thrilling opportunity.

I believe in you and I am fully confident that it is so. I rejoice in this victory. Let me serve you.

You did it for me before many times and I am blessed and honored.

Thank you Father God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Amen & Amen

“You don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.” – Zig Ziglar

F.I.R.E is an acronym for fantastically, inspired, raw, energy people.

Fire people make things happen.

These professionals absolutely understand that you can have fun and still accomplish your goals for the day, week, and month. They are experts at what they do. These are people that require no micromanaging whatsoever. They even know the answer before you ask them. They are so good at what they do, as they are continually honing their skills by reading, writing, researching, and continually asking the hard questions that will propel them towards the next level.

No one has to babysit these people as they’re so intrinsically driven that results show up every single time. It almost appears that their results are effortless. They just know what to do.

Present them with a scenario that requires a solution and instantly they will provide you with a solid plan with all the details that will solve the issue at hand.

Are they extraterrestrial?

No way.

They have blood flowing through their veins just like you and me.

However, they do have the intellectual faculties, WIMPIR (will, imagination, memory, perception, intuition and reason), securely tucked away so that every single time that they are presented with a problem, a solution instantly comes to their aid.

They have this innate ability as the mundane, unimaginative, routine, calculated and plain, drives them absolutely nuts.

You see, they are fantastically self-motivated as they have this ability to release people to their highest good of happiness, success, prosperity and peace of mind.

Hanging on to toxic energy simply kills any opportunity towards performing at this high energy level.

They fully understand that the music within must be played out in its entirety.

They continually ask these questions.

Did I live?

Did I love?

Did I matter?

Did I love is a crucial question as someone once said that love in tennis is nothing but in life it’s everything.

F.I.R.E. people want more.

They are always aiming and stretching for something that they know that they can’t hit with 100% certainty. They believe in themselves beyond present circumstances and are unwilling to quit.

They’re open to new ideas even though they appear to be out of their comfort zone, vividly imagining the end result with such a clear picture before it even comes to fruition.

They continually exceed their expectations with piranha like determination that leads to unparalleled success.

Yes.

They understand that obstacles can’t stop them. Problems can’t stop them. Other people can’t stop them.

The only one that can stop them is themselves so they get out of their way and make it happen.

“Be decisive. A wrong decision is generally less disastrous than indecision.” - Bernhard Langer

Thirty-fours later and seriously jet lagged, I landed in Cairns, gateway to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

What an amazing place located in the tropical far North of Queensland.

My time in this beautiful place was only five days as I was participating in a mentorship program.

Prior to the last day, my mentee suggested that I visit the Great Barrier Reef.

He said, “If you don’t see the Great Barrier Reef, you’ll have missed the majestic beauty of Australia.”

“Next time.” I said.

Seriously?” he prodded.

That same day I reluctantly booked the tour and it was slated for the next day.

Everyone boarded the catamaran and we set sail for the Great Barrier Reef.

During the two-hour sail, I met a young lady who was studying to be a teacher.

We had a great discussion as she was asking numerous questions about my teaching career.

As we approached the reef, the helmsman asked if we wanted to swim to the reef or use the dinghy.

I wasn’t a seasoned swimmer so I chose the dinghy as the catamaran neared the reef.

Besides, there were shark looking creatures in the water.

Before long, everyone was having a blast snorkeling and experiencing an array of beautiful coral and marine life.

What a sight!

I thought that I would explore the sand dunes area first before snorkeling.

I remember what the helmsman said about this area.

He said, “Don’t go past the roped off areas on both sides as it is an automatic $10,000 fine and you can’t leave the country without paying it.

This area of the reef was a protected bird sanctuary filled with so many beautiful species.

It was breathtaking beyond words.

Later as I was snorkeling, I noticed that the young lady that I met on the catamaran was out past the shallow area and was beginning to drown.

I was probably twenty feet from her at the time.

My first instinct was to save her from drowning however a stingray was right in my path.

I remember hearing about the unfortunate death of Steve Irwin and my reptile brain sprang into action with all kinds of red flags and alarms.

Now adrenaline, epinephrine, and cortisol hit me like a bolt of lightning.

My rational brain was saying, “You know that it won’t touch you if you don’t give it any attention.”

Without hesitation, I Immediately swam towards her and brought her to the shore.

As soon as I reached the shore, one of the catamaran crew attended to her.

That was a day that I will never forget.

Thank God for that decisive moment.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.” - Mark Twain

Many years ago, I was selling a brand new home to a wonderful family. They really wanted this house, but had an idea in their head that they couldn’t afford it.

I asked, “What’s preventing you from moving forward with your new home?”

“It’s the money and we really can’t afford it.” the Dad replied.

At the time, the Dad, his wife that was pregnant, his daughter and his parents were all in the office during the discussion.

“What’s the real reason?” I asked again.

Again the Dad nervously stated that it was the money and the affordability issue.

I continued and said, “Where is everyone going to sleep?”

Asking the question again, prompted the real reason and further discussion.

They needed four bedrooms and the model show home had only three bedrooms.

The extra square footage that they needed was for their parents as they were going to live with them in the new home.

According to their culture, placing their parents in the basement was not acceptable.

As a result, they were on the fence and that four-letter word was ready to pounce on their dream and steal their joy and their future.

I told them that they didn’t really need any money until they made a decision to purchase the home.

They retorted, “What are you talking about?”

I replied, “You don’t need any money until you have decided to purchase this home for you and your family.”

After some dialogue, I pulled out my huge calculator (12” x 24”) and handed it to the Dad.

He thought it was some type of joke.

I told him that I never joke when it comes to dreams and goals.

The extra space that they needed in this home was going to cost an additional $16,724.50.

After doing the math on the huge calculator, the final figure was $1.94.

“What’s the $1.94 all about?” he blurted.

I responded by saying that the beautiful four-bedroom home was going to cost an additional $1.94 per day over the term of the mortgage.

“Can you afford it now?” I asked.

He leaned over and signed the contract and was incredibly ecstatic.

What just happened?

Fear was about to crush his dream of owning a brand new home.

His lizard brain was just about to take over, however his understanding of this entire process halted any of this action to take place.

Understanding precedes change.

After several months, he asked to view his home just prior to possession.

We met at his new home with his wife, newborn baby, daughter, and parents.

He was so overwhelmed with emotion and almost burst into tears.

He said, “If you hadn’t explained it to us in the way that you did, especially with that crazy calculator, we wouldn’t even be standing here right now. Thank you.”

Fear is false evidence that appears real, however it appears so real that it really does a number on us intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially.

If it is false evidence that appears real, where did we get this bag of goods that doesn’t serve us?

Our lizard brain, cultural conditioning, media, and everything else in our world experience provide us with numerous opportunities 86,400 seconds of each day.

Implant this into your brain until you get it!

Fear is false evidence that appears real.

It is false.

It has no validity unless a tiger, lion, animal or the human variety, is attacking you.

“My pain may be the reason for somebody's laugh. But my laugh must never be the reason for somebody's pain.” – Charlie Chaplin

This is a 21st Century phenomenon that is progressively picking up steam especially in these unprecedented times.

Cyber bullying and harassment today is rampant.

No one is immune as it preys on all regardless of age, sex, wealth, fame, and the list goes on and on.

Hiding behind the veil of anonymity allows some people to spew hatred, intolerance, and everything else that fall into this category.

Some of these people are angry but now their anger has transformed into an ugly beast called hatred.

Anonymity to them is incredible power that they have never experienced before in their life.

Moreover, self-image and self-worth is their true quest for self-actualization.

However, many are actually decent human beings with families and jobs but somehow got caught up in online mobs that are no different than street mobs anywhere on the planet.

One or two individuals can cause havoc when they believe that their mission in life is to defame, slander, intimidate, and persecute individuals.

Their agenda is very transparent.

In most cases, they spew without performing their due diligence regarding the facts as their ongoing dialogue inspires more hatred based on conjecture.

What’s the cost?

Ultimately, hate begets hate and the cost is undeniably huge, emotionally, spiritually, and physically for these perpetrators and everyone that is affected.

Hate creates imbalance.

So kill them with kindness.

Forgive them.

Release them to their highest good of HSPP (happiness, success, prosperity and peace of mind).

Love always begets love, respect, tolerance, diversity, inclusion, and equality.

Love creates balance.

This might be a hard pill to swallow for some however doing this releases toxicity from your psychological house.

Begin right now and do not even spend one more microsecond of your precious time, any longer contemplating their toxicity.

Be mentally tough.

Determination, openness, understanding, compassion, and purpose will be your mental toughness armor.

Finally, the greatest weapon in the universe is to extend love and compassion and pray for these people.

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” - Luke 23:34 NIV

Hallelujah!

“In a world full of game players, the only way to set yourself apart is to be a game changer.” - Matshona Dhliwayo

Fifty-one years ago, we were in the heart of Manhattan in New York City.

We were young, naive, and eager to pitch a few songs that we had written for some of the labels in NYC.

On our way to Columbia at the time, I met this busker that was playing very cool jazz on his alto saxophone.

The busker had a disheveled appearance.

I asked him if he could play Scrapple From the Apple by Charlie Parker.

He did and it was amazing and over the top.

Scrapple From the Apple is in the key of F for all the jazz aficionados.

I said, “Can you play it in the key of F sharp?”

“Hell man, I can play it in any key. It don’t matter to me how many sharps or flats.” he replied.

His performance was flawless.

I continued by asking him, “Why aren’t you playing on Broadway or in other popular jazz clubs?

He replied, “No I can’t do that gig. I can’t get my s . . . together.”

He was an awesome musician but mentioned that he was too caught up in drugs and alcohol.

He also admitted that his real problem was confidence.

Some people have the greatest skill on the planet but lack the confidence to employ it.

That day was a wake up call.

Without confidence, nothing happens.

Here is a breakdown.

C = Create something

O = Ongoing

N = Nurture

F = Faith

I = Invest

D = Decide

E = Enjoy

N = Negotiate

C = Care

E = Elevate

What sets you apart from the pack?

“Dave, you’re the kind of customer I’m happy to lose.” - Jeff Bezos

No one should ever attempt to bully a compromise out of anyone’s values.

If this is the case, they should do what Jeff Bezos did recently.

Several years ago, I had the opportunity of working with a new home construction company that was in business for almost 30 plus years.

We were in the process of almost completing a new home transaction for a gentleman in one of the new developments.

The individual had provided the company with his deposit and all details were in place as previously agreed.

On a beautiful Saturday morning, I was in the show home when the same individual popped in and asked to speak with me.

I thought that he was there to sign off on the final papers for his new home.

Actually, he popped in and demanded that the company give him several options at no cost to him prior to the construction of his home.

I mentioned that the final construction documents were finalized per the agreement and ready for his signature.

In addition, I told him that he already received more than the usual incentives for his type of new home.

He continued with his demands and finally I said, “Can you really afford this home?”

In an agitated tone, he replied, “Of course I can but I still want you to throw in those extra options.”

This discourse went back and forth for a few exasperating minutes.

At the time and unbeknownst to me, one of the company owners was in the adjacent bedrooms in the show home.

Finally, I looked straight into the potential homeowner’s eyes and said, “Obviously, you’re never going to be happy with this deal, the company’s pricing for your new home or the build.”

He said, “You’ve got that right!”

I turned towards him directly and said, “You’re fired.”

I handed him his deposit check and told him to have a nice day.

He retorted, “You can’t fire me. I’m the customer. I’ll call the owners and tell them what happened.”

At that instant, the owner stepped out of the bedroom and as he was walking out the front door he said, “You should take the deal as it’s the best one you’re going to get.“

Immediately, the potential homeowner was so irate and began to stomp out of the show home.

As his hand grabbed the doorknob, he froze, turned around, and very sheepishly began to apologize for his behavior.

He said, “I just wanted to see how far I could press you on giving me the extra options at no cost. Sorry.”

Four months later, he moved into his new home and sent us a message congratulating me and the company for building a beautiful home for his family.

This individual became an ally in terms of referrals for the company.

From time to time you must take a stand as some people feel that other factors take precedence over values and respect.

“The greatest story of all is Colonel Sanders. He didn't start until he was sixty-six on a freeway bypass for his chicken shop. Anything is possible!” - Robert Kiyosaki

You can choose the ninety-seven percent freeway or the three percent freeway

The ninety-seven percent freeway is absolutely congested.

It's bumper-to-bumper traffic that is riddled and fueled by what we call fear.

This four-letter word fear really represents false evidence that appears real.

However, it appears so real that it does a number on us every single day especially when our reptile brain is aroused.

This freeway is chosen by ninety-seven percent of the population.

Many beautiful people go out there and do their thing every single day.

As this freeway is fueled by fear, their results are capped.

A constant flow of what-ifs bombards their genuine efforts to move forward.

The other freeway is the road that is less traveled.

Only three percent of the population choose this freeway.

This freeway is absolutely incredible to drive upon because it provides all the necessary detours that are essential in order to drive one's purpose towards their ultimate destination.

This freeway is fueled by faith.

My definition for faith is Fearless actions in trust and humility.

You're going to act.

You're going to move out.

You're going to do whatever it is that you need to do every single day but you're going to do it in trust in yourself and in some higher entity or some higher creative force.

You're going to do it with humility.

You're going to do it in a spirit of expectation and gratitude.

You're going to move forward with your goals, your aspirations, your dreams but you're going to do it fearlessly.

You will feel the fear but do it anyway.

It's a personal choice that we undertake every single day of our lives.

You can choose the ninety-seven percent freeway or the three percent freeway.

The three percent freeway may be risky and creates many challenges along the journey but it is worth it.

If it’s time to shake it up, choose your freeway carefully because you know that you want more in life.

If you don’t disrupt the status quo in your life, someone else will and you will find yourself blindsided.

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” - Theodore Roosevelt

The year was August 6, 1991 and the World Wide Web became publicly available.

The comparison game has been around since the dawn of man but with the advent of the internet, the game was kicked into high gear.

The comparison game leads nowhere fast, as it is probably the most utilized self-defeating behavior known to mankind.

As a result, people unknowingly give their power away consciously or unconsciously by comparing themselves to others on numerous social media platforms.

Especially, young children and youths have been victimized by this online comparison game.

You must believe that you are special and unique and that no one in this universe has your DNA.

Joyce Meyer expressed it with the following. “We’ve all got the stuff about us that we just don’t understand. Did you ever think that maybe you were in the wrong line when God was handing stuff out and you just kind of wondered what happened?”

You are perfect just the way you are.

Implant this into your being.

No one in this universe has your DNA.

Stop this nonsense of comparing yourself to anyone else on the planet. Grab a hold of yourself. They can’t even come close. When you believe this with your entire body, mind and spirit the essence of who you really are exudes into your outer world.

As a result, people want to be around you and they want to follow you because they want to and not because they have to.

In order to get rid of the naysayers and believe that your DNA is unique to you, persist in spite of present circumstances and stop the comparison game once and for all.

As you embark on this personal journey, abandon the need for approval from anyone. You’re perfect just the way you are right now and you are in a process of a wonderful unfoldment according to God’s divine plan.

The continual building of your self-esteem reduces the amount of stress and anxiety in your life and as a result the comparison game is no longer your game of choice.

Therefore, do not compare yourself to anyone whatsoever as this derails any possibility of fulfilling your destiny in this lifetime.

What’s on the other side?

Nobody cares and neither should you.

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” – William Arthur Ward

In my junior year of high school, I was enrolled in a chemistry class with Mr. B. The class was a prerequisite for the upcoming SAT exam.

At the time, I was more interested in how harmonies, notes, and intervals create great music instead of the periodic table.

Mr. B’s method of motivating students was negativity. As a result, the student’s gave him the nickname of Mr. B, a.k.a. bulldog.

On one occasion and in front of the entire class, he said, “There is an excellent university . . . I believe it’s the University of New Mexico. They have a great, four-year, basket-weaving program, and you all should take it.”

The next day, I approached Mr. B in the hallway and said, “Can I ask you a question?”

He replied, “What is it? Hurry up as I am late for lunch.”

I quickly asked, “Mr. B, do you really like teaching?”

He replied, “What kind of question is that to ask your chemistry teacher? It’s a job. Now, go along.”

Mr. B was probably a decent guy however he appeared to dislike his job and might be classified as a teller teacher. In any event, blessings and goodwill to Mr. B wherever he is.

Four years later, with my teaching certificate and degree in hand, I was at the same school where Mr. B was still teaching.

I was shocked to see Mr. B as he had become seriously overweight and had aged considerably. It’s funny how stress and negativity can take its toll on a person.

Mr. B sat down at the same staff room table, and asked,
“Are you new here?”

I replied, “Yes sir and I’m excited and ready for action.”

His reply was, “Sure, just wait until you’re in the saddle as long as I’ve been.”

He continued, “You look familiar. Were you ever in one of my classes?”

“Yes I was”, I replied.

I was in the class when you said to the entire class that there was an excellent university where they have a great, four-year, basket-weaving program and that we should all take it.

After this, there was a dead silence in the staff room.

Poetic justice?

Thank God for Mrs. D that taught a psychology class that same year and said that we can be or do anything in life if we put our minds to it.

Why this story?

Never underestimate the potential power of a teacher’s appraisal to make or break a student’s trajectory in life.

Thank you to all the great teachers that continue to inspire young people all over.

We salute you.

"Concentration is the secret of strengths in politics, in war, in trade, in short in all management of human affairs." – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Darren Hardy, former publisher of Success Magazine said, “You never really own success. You only rent it and the rent is due every single day.”

If the rent is due every single day then one needs to learn how to focus at a very high level of frequency and vibration.

For some people this is not an easy task to manage. People become easily distracted and lose their sense of focus and purpose for the task at hand.

Today, people everywhere are incredibly distracted. Gadgets galore are in people’s homes, businesses and especially in their hands.

Go anywhere and you will instantly notice a fetish in any environment.

How do we learn to focus?

Here’s my definition of focus.

Fierce, optimum concentration, unusually sustained over time.

Most people are distracted every single day of their lives.

They are on autopilot and lack the powerful ability to focus. They don't even recognize this, as their level of awareness is static.

So, go to a dollar store and purchase a laser pen. Your investment will be approximately two to three dollars but the residual benefit to you will be magnified many times over.

In your quiet time and on a daily basis, direct your laser pen onto an inanimate object.

The first time you do this, think of nothing else but where the location of the laser pen is directed.

Absolutely do not think of anything else to the best of your ability.

Nothing!

After fifteen seconds of sustained concentration your mind begins to take a trip and wander about with your thoughts.

This is absolutely normal and natural.

However, sustained concentration can be learned and developed by anyone on the planet that has a desire to elevate his or her level of awareness.

Do the latter activity for intervals of fifteen seconds, sixty seconds, and ninety seconds and ultimately attempt to achieve a time span of five minutes.

When you strive towards five minutes of sustained concentration on one singular inanimate object without distraction, you have raised your level of awareness in frequency and vibration.

Congratulations!
