“Determination and perseverance move the world.” – Harland David Sanders

His father died when he was five years old.

He dropped out of school in seventh grade and ran away from home.

At the age of sixteen he enlisted in the US Army.

At age 65, he took $105 from his first Social Security check and began travelling around the country in his 1946 Ford selling his business idea.

He was refused 1,009 times before he heard his first yes.

His idea was sold in 1986 for US $840 million.

He understood that it’s not doing certain things but rather doing things in a certain way.

We now him as Colonel Harland David Sanders, Founder Kentucky Fried Chicken (also known as KFC).

Wallace D. Wattles said, “The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way, and those who do things in a certain way – whether on purpose or accidentally – get rich, while those who do not do things in this certain way – no matter how hard they work or how able they are – remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects, and, therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.”

His book, The Science of Getting Rich was published in 1910 and is still a great resource for anyone that wants to eradicate barriers towards success.

So, what does it mean to do things in a certain way?

Firstly, trash all perceived notions of money, luck, success etc. that undermine your ability to succeed.

When you really understand Wallace D. Wattle’s quote, you'll begin to operate entirely different in your business and personal relationships.

Your sustainability and exponential growth is guaranteed as you are doing things in a certain way rather than doing certain things.

It’s the method that you are employing that will give you the results that you are seeking.

Our parents, grand parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and everyone else in our early life did the best that they could do with what they had at the time.

We love them and respect them for what they attempted to instill in our fragile minds as children.

However, most of the thinking and discussion around our early life was middle class thinking.

Steve Siebold, the mental toughness expert expressed the following, “Middle Class thinking is the thought virus of the masses.”

Steve Siebold’s book is located at www.mentaltoughnesssecrets.com and is an invaluable tool that will pay you dividends for years to come.

It’s doing things in a certain way and not doing certain things.

It’s thinking and acting in a different way that is not in alignment with the masses.

Wallace D. Wattles wrote in his book The Science of Getting Rich, “ The paper, ink, and other material in this book may not be worth the money you pay for it; but if the ideas suggested by it bring you thousands of dollars, you have not been wronged by those who sold it to you; they have given you a great use value for a small cash value.”

In essence, the latter is the meaning of doing things in a certain way.
