“One year of life is worth more than twenty years of hibernation” – Anthony de Mello

Maybe Les Brown was referring to this time in society with his quote,

Imagine if you will being on your deathbed – and standing around your bed – the ghosts of the ideas, the dreams, the abilities, the talents given to you by life. And that you for whatever reason, you never acted on those ideaand only you could have given us life! – Les Brown

Many people are at home and more or less hibernating until this malady has run its course. Is this an opportune time, to write that book, learn a new skill or language or create your game plan for a comeback after this is all over?

Time is a precious commodity and now many have this in abundance.

This is not the time to squander this opportunity, as it doesn’t present itself too often in this manner. For many, it’s a good time to spend quality time and reconnecting with loved ones while in hibernation.

The meaning of life takes on a different slant as everyone’s mobility and autonomy is interdependent more than ever now.

You already understand that the present is a gift and the memory of the past and the mystery of the future are no longer relevant at this time.

Accept the present as a formidable gift as something good will ultimately arise out of this calamity.

To the best of our ability, we want to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and continue our daily trek. This isn’t an easy task.

Far from it!

Somehow, we need to dig down deep into the core of our being and find that inner strength to push forward and Godward.

Life’s like that!

We have all being bombarded by events throughout our entire life.

This doesn’t mean that we don’t need to acknowledge these events as real and personal but we do not need to give them any power or any ability to immobilize us.

That is what is great about the human condition.

We have a choice.

We have always had a choice but sometimes we choose to give up our vote to some external entity.

We need to understand that we are responsible for all our thoughts, feelings, and actions every single day of our existence regardless of present circumstances.

Onward.
